About the event
The Run It Back workshop is designed to encourage creative thinking around storytelling by exploring writing and performance in reverse. Participants will engage in free writing and receive prompts, followed by discussions around reversing the narrative flow. This workshop is open to all ages and experience levels and offers a fresh perspective on the art of storytelling.
The workshop is designed and led by Qari, a Hip-Hop artist native to Chicago who is known for his free-form, introspective lyricism. He describes himself as an observer first, and an artist second. With subject matter ranging from spiritual curiosity to lewd sarcasm, Qari weaves interpretive motifs through melody and creative impression. He’s opened for Wu-Tang Clan, Post Malone, and even a holographic Chief Keef (yes, really).
