Join music historian and DJ Duane Powell for the second in a series illuminating how House music culture weaves together genres and eras of Black music. Drawing from the iconic Frankie Knuckles record collection housed at the Stony Island Arts Bank, Powell explores the era post disco where dance music began taking shape electronically. This special session will delve into Italo, New Wave, No Wave including artist like Donna Summer, Talking Heads, Kasso and more.
